HOW A DEHUMIDIFIER WORKS
1. Air is drawn into the unit by a fan 6. Air passes back into room 2°C CONDENSER EVAPORATOR
warmer and considerably dryer
2. Air passes over a cold surface WARM MOIST
7. Defrost system automatically AIR FAN AIR
3. As the air is cooled, it’s moisture de-ices unit as necessary
condenses CAPILLIARY WATER
8. Unit switches off automatically TUBE
4. Water falls into the container when container is full

5. Air is re-heated by the heat 9. When the unit achieves the REFRIGERANT
recovery system selected level of dryness it
switches off automatically

THE DEHUMIDIFIER
EIPL dehumidifiers are effective solutions to environmental control
problems. The Neptune dehumidifier, with its temperature sensitive
defrost control ensures optimum performance throughout the
units full operating temperature range.
Moisture is removed from the air through an efficient refrigeration
process. The fan draws the moist air through the cold evaporator
coil, which cools the air below its dew point. Moisture forms on
the evaporator coil and is collected in the condensate tray. The
cooled air then passes through the hot condenser coil where it
is reheated using the same energy removed during the cooling
phase, plus the additional heat generated by the compressor.
The air is, therefore, discharged from the dehumidifier at a slightly
higher temperature with a lower absolute humidity than that which
entered. Continuous circulation of air through the dehumidifier
gradually reduces the relative humidity within the area.
The small compact size of the Neptune allows the unit
to be easily moved and transported from job
to job.
