How a Dehumidifier Works
1. Air is drawn into the unit by a fan
2. Air passes over a cold surface
3. As the air is cooled, it’s moisture condenses
4. Water falls into the container
5. Air is re-heated by the heat recovery system
6. Air passes back into room 2°C warmer and considerably dryer
7. Defrost system automatically de-ices unit as necessary
8. Unit switches off automatically when container is full
9. When the unit achieves the selected level of dryness it switches off automatically
Application
The EIP RM40 / RM40-P compact unit, is surprisingly quite, yet have the features of manyl arger models. The rota moulded housing and galvanised steel chassis ensures they are rugged enough for industrial shops and storerooms.
Their attractive appearance makes them suitable for basement or garage applications.
The menu driven OLED display allows a precise control point to be entered and system temperatures to be monitored. Recirculation mode is available for instances where air movement is required without dehumidification.
Proven Performance
The EIP RM40 / RM40-P dehumidifiers are compact, stand alone units which provides quiet, maintenance free service in extreme environments, without the cost, and irritation of coil freeze-up. This simple, yet effective solution is ideal for a damp basement or clammy locker rooms it can be is easily transported to the problem area, andgoes quietly to work. The RM40-P has all the qualities of the RM40, however the integral water container is replaced with a high capacity condensate pump. This unit is ideal for un-manned installations.
The Problem
Excess humidity in your crawl space, warehouse, office factory or shop results in corrosion, mold growth and rotting. Enormous costsare incurred every year through damage to inventory and through inflated building maintenance costs as a result of dampness. Even if your building seems dry during the day, at night when the temperature falls the humidity rises and the condensation process begins. The compact physical size, and high performance, makesthe RM40 family the ideal choice for many applications.
The Dehumidifier
EIPL dehumidifiers are effective solutions to environmental control. Designed to control humidity in smaller areas, the RM40 is a compact unit that has the typical capacity to extract up to 34 ppd of moisture in 24 hours.
As with all EIPL dehumidifiers the RM40 and RM40P units are built to last with a rotationally moulded body and base and a galvanisedsteel substructure. This unit is ideally placed to tackle the toughest conditions, perfect for the protection of cars, tools and machinery. TheRM40 family are free standing units, their castors and sturdy pocket carrying handles make them easy to move and transport. Requiring no installation the RM40 is simple to operate once positioned just switch it on, dial in the desired humidity level, and let it get on with the job. The OLED display allows a precise level to be entered, and a constant readout of the actual room humidity level. The Status indicator panel, provides a visual indication of the drying process, and when the water container requires emptying. The RM40P is fitted with a high lift internal condensate pump inplace of the Water Container. This high lift pump allows the water to be pumped toa height of approx 10ft , and ideal for unattended installations, or basements.
